Nobody says no because of software. They say no because of what they're afraid of, and it's rarely the thing they say first. Each of these is reasonable. Treat it that way.
| What they say | What it often means | What helps |
|---|---|---|
| "I'm not good with these things" | I don't want to look foolish in front of my staff | Do the first step with them, sitting beside them, on their own phone |
| "It costs too much" | I've paid for things that didn't pay me back | The sum, then the free week: nothing's asked for until they've seen it |
| "My nephew handles that" | I don't want to overrule family | Ask to meet the nephew. He may well become your best ally |
| "We tried something once" | It was a waste, and I felt stupid | Ask what went wrong. Listen fully. Then show one small thing |
| "It works fine" | I've survived this long, and change is a risk | Agree. Ask only about the one thing that bothers them |
| "I'll think about it" | I don't know you yet | Don't chase hard. Send one useful message in a few days |
